1. Purpose
ACB certifications and scholarships depend on fair, accurate assessment of each learner's own work. This policy applies to all ACB assessments, including the English placement exam required for scholarship applications and mastery tests within certification tracks.
2. Your Responsibilities
- Complete all exam sections yourself without assistance from another person, AI writing tools (where prohibited), or unauthorized reference materials.
- Do not share exam questions, answers, or recordings with other applicants or publish them online.
- Use only your own ACB account. You may not take an exam on behalf of another person.
- Follow all on-screen instructions, including rules agreements presented before the English placement test.
3. English Placement Exam Rules
- Pass mark: 70% overall with at least 60% in each of reading, vocabulary, writing, and speaking.
- Attempts: up to three per rolling seven-day period until you pass.
- Exam content is aligned to the certification track you selected before beginning the test at acboard.us/english-placement.
- Speaking responses must be your own voice. Pre-recorded or substituted audio is prohibited.
4. Integrity Monitoring
ACB may use technical measures during exams, including focus/blur detection, session timing, and pattern analysis, to identify irregular behaviour. Suspicious sessions may be flagged for review before results are finalized.
5. Prohibited Conduct
- Using a second device, browser tab, or person to obtain answers during a timed section
- Automated scripts, bots, or answer-sharing services
- Falsifying identity, location, or certification track selection to obtain an unfair advantage
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or redistribute exam item banks
6. Consequences
Violations may result in voided exam attempts, suspension of certification progress, denial or revocation of scholarship awards, and permanent account closure. ACB may report fraud to relevant authorities where appropriate.
7. Appeals
If your attempt was flagged in error, email info@acboard.us within 7 days with your account email, exam date, and explanation. ACB will review flagged sessions and respond in writing.
