Scholarship Policy

Last updated: June 2026

1. Purpose

American Certification Board (ACB) scholarships help qualified learners pursue professional certification when financial need would otherwise be a barrier. This policy governs eligibility, the English placement requirement, award amounts, and committee review of applications submitted at acboard.us/scholarship.

2. Eligibility

3. English Placement Requirement

All scholarship applicants must complete the English placement test aligned to their chosen certification track. You may take up to three attempts per rolling seven-day period until you pass. Attempt rules and integrity requirements are described in our Exam & Assessment Integrity Policy.

4. Scholarship Amounts

Scholarship amounts are determined automatically by your selected certification track and sector. Amounts are locked at submission and cannot be negotiated, edited, or increased after your application is filed. The amount shown in Step 3 of the application is the amount recorded with your file.

5. Application Review

6. Use of Scholarship Funds

Approved scholarships are applied toward ACB certification programme costs as determined by ACB. Funds are not paid directly to applicants as cash unless expressly stated in an award letter. Scholarships are not transferable to another person or certification track after approval without written consent from ACB.

7. Denial and Revocation

ACB may deny or revoke a scholarship if an applicant provides false information, violates exam integrity rules, fails to maintain good standing, or engages in conduct inconsistent with ACB values. Applicants may reapply in a future cycle unless permanently barred for fraud or integrity violations.

8. Related Policies

This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Exam Integrity Policy, and Refund Policy.
